If you want, you can start from right outside the hotel entrance. Yellow signs, the typical Swiss mountain and hiking-trail markings, point the way. In addition to the destination, the signs also usually indicate the average hiking time. This makes hiking easy and also encourages spontaneous tours. Here are three of our favourite routes to whet your appetite for more:
Easy hike around Lake St. Moritz
From the hotel, stroll through the busy centre of St. Moritz directly to the lake. Here, follow the path along the shore. You can walk around the whole lake and enjoy the view of St. Moritz.

Panorama trail from the Muottas Muragl (top station) to the Pontresina chairlift (top station)
The Panorama Trail from the top station of the picturesque Muottas Muragl funicular to the top station of the Pontresina chairlift rewards hikers with a magnificent view. The trail leads past old pine forests and ends with a short climb to Alp Languard. Halfway up, the cosy mountain restaurant "Unterer Schafberg" invites walkers to take a break.

Piz Nair – Corviglia – Chantarella
The mountain railway takes you up to the St. Moritz local mountain, the Piz Nair. Once there, the first thing to do is to enjoy the Engadine lake landscape and to view the planned hike from above. And off we go. The first section leads steeply down along the slope of Piz Nair to Munt da San Murezzan. It is followed by a relatively flat, wide path leading to the Alpina Hut. From there it is a steep hike down to Corviglia. After passing under the Corviglia cable car line a wide curve takes you to Chantarella.
