Mountain biking in the St. Moritz region and the Upper Engadine is in a world of its own. There are over 400 kilometres of well-maintained, marked trails – and they promise a first-class riding experience. Strenuous tours into the high alpine terrain are just as possible as well as family-friendly trails that lead over forest and country tracks. If you like, you can start your tour directly from the front of the Crystal Hotel and master the ascent with your own muscle power. A bike tour can also begin comfortably with the funicular which takes athletes and equipment up to the top station of Piz Nair at 3056 a.s.l. Here the view is, of course, breathtaking. Sign-posted routes leading down into the valley are varied and offer something for every level. Should it be a steep descent that requires speed and skill, or quiet biking through gentle hills? Everyone finally arrives down in the valley. Around Corviglia and in the Bernina Valley, spectacular downhill rides and magnificent single trails in beautiful scenery await mountain bikers. Newcomers in the saddle book a guided bike tour adapted to their needs before they set out on their own. Making a start is what counts. Biking in and around St. Moritz – every kilometre is adventure, pure and simple.
